Soccer Saturdays!

Kasiana has been playing on a 4/5 year old soccer team this Spring. As one of the other mom's on the team said, "I drive a mini van and we play soccer... I have arrived" We are now soccer moms. She definitely does better at practices that games. She runs with her team during games, but won't touch the ball.

Everyone is playing... And my little one is posing.

Kasiana is Learning to Read and Write

We are so proud of our sweet little Kasiana. She is so bright and she starts preschool this coming fall. We can hardly believe how fast she is growing up. We are so grateful for "The Letter Factory" and the tools that are out there to help our kids learn. A couple of years ago when we bought our mini-van we also had a DVD player installed in it. Kasiana got to the point where she wanted to watch her "shows" everytime we got into the van. I decided awhile back that each time the kids are in the van that if they watch something it should be educational. I purchased the Leap Frog videos as a box set and I know that is what really helped Kasiana with her letters. She is an amazing little girl and I am so proud to be her mommy.

The kids love to play in the van. One afternoon after I got home from work Kasiana wanted to watch The Letter Factory in the van. I set up the personal DVD player for her and rolled down the windows while Jonah, Kaelin, and I hung out on the front porch. Kasiana called me over to ask for paper and pencil to practice writing. I'm so proud of my little one.

In this video Kasiana had just gotten her first pet, a fish that she name "Fishy Friend" For awhile she was on a kick where she wanted to practice writing everyone's names. Normally I have to tell her the letters to write or help her sound the words out. In this video Kasiana writes the word "fish" all by herself by sounding it out on her own.

Father's Day was the first time that she really signed her name by herself to all of the Father's Day cards we sent. What a gift!
